Well, the closest I'm getting to celebrating Guy Fawkes today is that I broke the 10,000 word mark on NaNo.

well done! How are you feeling about the story so far?
Thanks. I have mixed feelings towards the story so far. It feels fun and enjoyable to write but it's also not turning out to be exactly what I'd planned. It seems like it's more comic than I had been intending. Still it's first draft and I'm forcing myself not to go back and re-read what I've written or edit and fix as I go (which is more what I usually do). Just focusing on moving forward is actually quite a different style for me and so I finding it requires a lot more discipline that I expected.
